Free Post

Well, last week we were supposed to write a 100-word FICTIONAL story. While I wrote my 100-word story, it was not fictional. My brother, cousin, and cousins friend actually snuck onto the rural life museum and swam across a like to get to an island with goats on it. Yes, we actually roped the goats and yes, my cousins friend actually rode one.
Today was similar to that Sunday last week with a few exceptions. It was my two brothers this time and my brother's two friends. This weekend there were actually people at the Burden Center so we couldn't go our usual route, we had to make some detours. As we were wondering through the property I thought to myself "What a beautiful place". We got to the outskirts of the lake and we could clearly see the island, but we didn't see any goats. Stewart and Ethan my brother Crawford's friend were starting to doubt Crawford and Me. The previous day my cousin was there and he said he saw the goats, but where were they?! Crawford decided to go a different way back to Burden Street where we had parked our golf cart. My brother led us to a storm creek and we had to end up walking a half mile to our golf cart. That sums up our trip to the Burden Center this week, can't wait to tell y'all what goes on next week!

  1. Lane, that sounds like an awesome story. You did a good job describing what happened. I also love how you tied this into another blog post you previously did.
